Job Description:
Family Office Exchange (FOX) is looking for a self starter with strong people skills and the ability to provide PC help desk function and assist with network projects as needed. Help desk duties include hardware/software support in a Microsoft environment for approximately 30 in-house and 10 mobile users. We provide an environment that encourages the learning of new technologies and applying those updated skills. The ideal candidate should possess enough knowledge of network concepts and practices and experience in computer network troubleshooting to effectively work with limited supervision.
The majority of our users are high powered individuals who require immediate response to problems and a certain amount of TLC. We hold high standards for customer service. The ability to work with all levels of personnel in the company is required. The successful candidate will possess the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment which requires frequent attention shifts from project work to the PC environment and vice versa. Candidate must be willing to take full responsibility for all operations within this job description and must be prepared to work extended hours on occasion.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Install, upgrade, and support user hardware including Dell desktops and laptops (XP / Vista) and Windows Mobile Devices
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office 2003/2007 Suite
• Provide other hardware support including printers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners
• Support remote user software including OWA and an SSL VPN
• Track and report on time usage
• Assist in maintaining inventory of all computer hardware and software
• Assist with network projects
Ideal Professional Experience:
• Two to five years solid help desk experience
• Bachelors Degree preferred but not required
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, and quickly changing focus
• A strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Solid written and verbal communications skills are a must
• A+ certification is desired
